Grey Matters International and the work of Kevin J. Fleming, Ph.D approaches issues of anger management in a very humane yet fresh perspective. You see, anger is a normal emotion but it is the valence (intensity) as well as the coupling choice of what one does with this that is the problem. Telling someone to "not" do it or modifying behavior with a trite psychological plan that only breeds a compliant response is not the way to change anger. Brainwave optimization is a new cutting edge technology that allows one to rewire circuitry responsible for reactivity driving the anger. Anger is a completely normal, usually healthy, human emotion. But when it gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems—problems at work, in your personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life. And it can make you feel as though you're at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion. In counseling I address the thinking, feeling, and acting-out aspects of the issue and provide clients with the tools they need to manage their anger in more productive ways

Has someone told you that you are getting way too stressed out about things?I will help you learn to communicate your thoughts without becoming confrontational. Do you even know what your positive traits are anymore? We’ll discuss them and also that anger is more of a secondary emotion to more primary feelings such as fear, guilt, shame, powerlessness, or sadness. Together, we will identify the triggers that upset you, so that you can be more self-aware and develop coping skills. Reducing anger will improve your self-image, patience, interactions with family and career success, while reducing health issues such as headache and backaches. I help clients become more conscious and less reactive in their interactions. I teach clients specific strategies to break destructive patterns of relating and give them tools to communicate effectively. I also teach clients how to self-soothe. Within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, clients will explore the root of their anger and underlying emotions that are being expressed as anger or rage.
