My style of anger management may differ from the typical options. I focus on safe emotional release work called Psychodramatic Bodywork where the client and environment are safe and not at risk of injury/damage. Using floor and vertical mats, clients are supported to release feelings to then be able to access the root causes of their rage/fear/sadness/'anger management' struggles. Emotional release work is extremely transformational, and helps people release the adrenaline stored in their bodies that block mindfulness, clarity and authentic emotional expression. I look forward to explaining this process further during the free meet and greet sessions.

Anger can feel like an emotional experience that we have no control over. In therapy, you can explore the root causes of anger and how it impacts your life, your experiences, and your relationships. You can learn skills to effectively respond to anger, ground yourself when feeling angry, and de-escalate when anger is impacting your relationships. I work with individuals, couples and families. Anger is something that gets the best of all of us at one point or another. And sometimes it feels so heavy that we learn to react on it instantaneously, which may hurt ourselves or others around us. My goals are to help you to manage your anger reaction by learning how to channel it through positive and productive endeavors, as well as to explore the history of your feelings of anger to learn where they began. Our work will not only change your anger reactions, but will also aid in decreasing the anger feeling itself.

Anger is really the outward expression of internal pain. Often it is easier to be angry than to feel painful emotions such as sadness, loss, and grief. But it is not easy to work through the underlying foundations of anger. By recognizing and understanding the feelings that are driving your anger, I can help you get to the bottom of your anger issues and support positive change in your life.

All emotions provide information about how we are experiencing a particular relationship or event. The intensity of our emotions reflects how important this relationship or event is to us. Anger has become associated with aggression and hurtful behaviours, but in reality, anger is an emotion that motivates us to respond. Sessions focus on developing an understanding of where your anger is originating and how it can be expressed and/or resolved.

Anger can be a powerful force for change in our lives - it can give us the energy to move from situations that might be unhealthy or unsafe. However, when anger becomes difficult to control, or when t begins to hurt the people we love, it is no longer helpful. I provide a safe place to explore what anger is, how it affects us, how it can be helpful, and when it has become detrimental to either yourself or those you loves, and to work with you to find ways to manage that anger in healthy ways.
