Anxiety is often a symptom of conflict avoidance and the inability to set boundaries. Do you say "yes" to everyone (but yourself)? That may be one reason you are feeling stressed and anxious. In my work with clients we not only practice breathing and mindfulness exercises but look at family history, temperament and personality traits, and reinforcement that's in place for the anxiety. Gaining insight into why you're anxious can be helpful, but is limited in it's effectiveness to change it. I teach my clients a variety of skills, and make small but effective changes to diet and exercise in a more holistic approach.
