Anxiety is a major issue that needs to be addressed and properly maintained to achieve balance in life. Interesting to learn is that there is such a thing as positive anxiety: "eustress". Eustress is the perfect amount of anxiety to keep one attentive, alert, and performing well. "Distress" on the other hand, will create a shut-down or dysfunction in behaviour. Critical to understand is that negative messages we send ourselves ('Cognitive Distortions') significantly contribute to distress. Anxiety is real and it can be overwhelming. But it doesn't have to be.
