Registered Psychotherapist

320 Danforth Ave. Suite #202, Toronto, ON M4K 1N8

Stress & anxiety are major barriers to living a full and satisfying life, and unfortunately becoming increasingly problematic in these fast-paced, uncertain times. Finding balance and relief from stressful, anxious patterns involves learning to understand thinking patterns and emotional responses, and cultivating tools to break the cycle of stress-related reactions. My therapeutic approach is holistic in nature, and involves learning to understand these negative patterns, as well as working with meditative and mindfulness techniques that promote awareness, relaxation and deeper connection with the self in order to find more balance and peace within the context of our busy lives.

Stress and axiety can be debilitating in anyone's life. While identifying the symptoms may be easy, dealing with them can be quite problematic. Together we could identify triggers, understand where they come from and then outline useful coping mechanisms that would assist you in minimizng and dealing with these experiences. By understanding and creating different responses to anxiety and stress, it is possible to actually experience them less often. By taking actions instead of "worrying", people are able to feel more empowered, in control and less vulnerable to these states.

If you suffer from anxiety you are very aware of your physical symptoms of jitters, tension, increased heart rate, and light-headed-ness. In your mind you tend to overestimate danger, underestimate your ability to cope and have catastrophic thoughts. Usually an event that triggered panic brings you for help. While I can provide tools that can help you learn to reduce your anxiety, reflecting on your relationship with yourself and others will help you make personal transformation. For example the fear of being alone after a long term relationship ends, can lead to panic about your future. Addressing what happened in that relationship & past relationship patterns will help you learn your needs

Looking for a change? Online counseling is convenient, effective, efficient, and confidential.
Everyone experiences anxiety at some point, but for some the anxiety is so frequent or intense that it interferes with their lives or even triggers panic attacks. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help my clients get a sense of control over their own anxiety. We collaborate to learn skills to reduce the frequency or intensity of the anxious feelings, to tolerate the anxiety when it does occur so they can still function through it, and to practice habits that reduce stress and improve general mental health.
