I'm not a career counselor in the sense of someone who will administer career tests or function directly toward your career as might a specialized career counselor or head hunter. Rather, I'm a psychologist with a general practice who has seen many people make job and career changes. Sometimes these were motivated by finally reaching a point of admitted lack of fulfillment, frustration, and literally "dreading" returning to the same situation. For others, layoffs and changes in available work finally were forcing a change. It's a pleasure to discuss with clients their strengths, the types of environments in which they excel, their career dreams ... and brainstorm together ...

Finding a good career match is central to a sense of meaningful fulfillment in life. Yet many times people find themselves unhappy in their work, or out of work, or just beginning their working life without a clear sense of what is the right fit.
