Career Counseling is about more than finding the job you want. It starts with the process of raising awareness of your skills, education, passions, purpose, and goals. We then work to sketch out what life would look like if all of those things came into balance. Once we have that ideal as a guide, we bring in reality of financial obligations and limitations of time and energy. From there we can create next steps to move you closer to that "perfect" balance.

The word that describes my approach to career counseling most accurately is exploration. There are many reasons that someone would make a certain career choice, and they don't all come down to personal fulfillment. Sometimes the job is to provide for your family, sometimes it is to make money so that you can exercise freedom in other areas of your life. I want to explore your life goals and help you determine what function you want your career to fill in your life. All parts of your personal story, your talents, your interests, and your hobbies can be useful information in making big decisions concerning your career and your future.
