I specialize in helping gifted, talented, and/or highly sensitive adults with the unique challenges they face. This often includes issues around career, work environment, and the difficulty of choosing one specialty when multi-talented. I provide support and strategies for the individual who is outside the norms of general society and needs to design a work-life that most enjoyably and effectively uses their talents.

I have traveled the country teaching police supervisors how to be effective leaders by developing a culture of acceptance. I have also written extensively on the subject of job burnout, compassion fatigue, morale, effective leadership and ethics for multiple law enforcement publications. In my office I have also coached those who are starting their careers to those who are high level executives on pursuing their professional goals.

Life happens. Sometimes we find ourselves in a situation where a change of employment may be necessary. Whether it is an expected transition or the result of unforeseen circumstances, change is difficult and can cause stress related illness. We can assist with making the transition less stressful. Life can be fulfilling and balanced, relationships can be honest and satisfying. Old wounds can heal, self-control can be gained, happiness can be experienced and personal change is attainable. It is hard feeling like you are stuck in a career or like you do not know what to do career-wise. Sometimes, imposter syndrome gets the best of us and thus leads us to self-sabotage. Then, we find ourselves experiencing missed opportunities, regret, angst, and pain. While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies.
