We offer career navigation and executive coaching services, including, determining a fulfilling and successful career path, designing a branded resume, effective job search, assessing strengths and growth opportunities, addressing blindspots and reducing potential career derailers. I leverage a solution-based approach to clearly outline your primary challenge, work through an exercise to meditate on and define your future state and then work over 8 sessions to achieve it via homework and 1:1 sessions. Clients have experienced great success with this approach, my goal is to empower you - YOU have the answers and I want to help you find them.

Career counseling is similar to other types of counseling. In working with my client the focus of therapy is on issues such as career exploration, career change, personal career development and other career related issues. I work with my clients to help them with feelings of inadequacy, clearing out the clutter to make the right decisions and next steps.

My approach to clients undergoing career issues begins with an assessment to determine the type of problem, including lack of direction, negative performance reviews, workload anxiety, lack of advancement, or the need for a transition. Once we've established the priority, treatment includes setting goals together and developing a therapeutic relationship, including coaching, to support and maintain the client's progress.

Finding or changing a career requires understanding your own values, skills and goals, and what the job market is like. Here are some questions that should be answered: are you suited to entrepreneurship or is steadiness a priority? Do you follow managers easily at a job or do you need to be given leadership responsibility and trust? What kind of skills do you have, what kind of income do you need. Above all, what will motivate you so you feel that you are using your full potential? A lifetime of both working for others, and running a consulting business for 30 years, means I can help you navigate the important and greatly varied world of work, finding meaning and earning income each day.

Having worked as an employment specialist, I consider myself an expert in all types of career counseling. While not a "head hunter", I have amassed a wealth of information as to how job search, obtain an interview, execute a successful interview and maintain a position. I have worked extensively with the N.Y. State Education Dept. (Access-vr) to assist clients with mental health disabilities to succeed as individuals and valued employees. Partnering with employers and on the job coaching has been the key to my success. My belief is that everyone can work and that it can be a process but can change someone's life.
