Children are a unique population in therapeutic treatment and require someone with the aptitude, personality, training and experience. I have experience in play therapy and will be gaining more training in June in order to gain even further knowledge about how to effectively treat children. Play is the language of children and as children play with the therapist they are able to express emotions that they don't yet have the ability to verbalize. They also can express any trauma they have experienced so that the therapist can add language to their pain and thereby process it. I rely on play therapy and attachment methods for the treatment of children.
