Too often, couples have trouble dealing with issues involving children, family, jobs, housekeeping… . They may also love each other but not feel loved by each other. The five channels of love are described and clients are aided in discerning what their own are, and how to get on the same channel. Also, problem solving is taught on a win-win basis; i.e., no walking away from issues or settling for compromise. Dr. Frederick has been effective in doing this since 1971.

Reflectant of life in general, all counseling has at root the essential element of relationship. Coupling is the desired choice to depend and rely even more so upon another to meet as social creatures, therein implicit social imperatives. Counselors help patients to best relate first to themselves, as well others in this exchange of resource, love and life.
