Family Counseling is extremely important and works wonders. If only one member of a football team learns the plays, there would be no teamwork or EFFECTIVE communication. It takes courage and discipline and LOVE for your family to take the time out for Family Counseling. Our therpaist will listen to each family member and help to identify teh weaknesses and strengths within that family. It is amazing how many families change dramatically after communicating in a safe, peaceful environment. We teach each family member how to be a part of the team and make successful and longlasting changes.

Families have as many dynamics as there are members. Each family has its own system to handle life's challenges. Sometimes, some of these systems do not operate effectively. The goal of family therapy is to help families understand the systems used, how they are not helping, and learn new skills to better equip the family to provide a safe and secure home for all to thrive

I believe that in every system, be it individuals or families, there is a healing force. Sometimes the system may be so overwhelmed from various issues that it feels broken. As a therapist working with families, I first work to help each member tap into this healing force—the strength within. Then I assist parents in identifying and meeting their needs—whether it be parenting skills, communication training, or anger management—so that they, in turn, can teach and care for their children. It is my goal to assist families in becoming self reliant and self nurturing systems with the necessary skills to reach their full potential.
