Families are intricate machines that need the movements of all parts to function properly. I help families determine what is not working within the family unit and how to make adjustments to create peace and harmony among all family members. It is important to understand how the behavior of one person can be a trigger for the automatic response of another family member. Adjustments take time, but will last a lifetime.

Our approach to family therapy is to include all members of the family in most family sessions. Sometimes this may include extended family members, e.g. grandparents, nephews etc.. The goal in family therapy is to identify any systemic problem within the family that may be enabling the identified family member with the problem. This may include addiction issues, behavioral issues, severe mental illness, etc.. The therapist will help the family develop healthy solutions to the problems they are facing.
