I have worked with many clients who are dealing with grief and loss issues, including children and families who have lost a loved one. I have also worked with trauma survivors and their families and loved ones, including victims and others impacted by or involved in the Pulse nightclub shootings. I encourage people to understand that there is no "wrong" way to grieve and that it is a process that takes time.

Grief hurts. People feel like they have been stolen from. Sometimes it’s grief over the loss of something we had. Sometimes it’s sadness about what we never had. If we minimize and deny our emotions, we no longer have them, they have us. Holding it in makes it feel worse and can make us sick. Grief heals when its emotions are expressed. First of all, Im sorry for your loss. I will help you heal some of the pain of losing a love one with EMDR. We will explore how this person or pet was like. We will journal feelings to reduce the intensity. Sometimes we have to connect to an estranged family or friend that also feels this loss so you both feel and support each other.
