As a trained psychotherapist and counselor, my aim is to help my clients challenge and rewrite the negative automatic thoughts and negative core beliefs that they hold of themselves. Beliefs such as "I am not worthwhile" or "I am stupid" or "I am too much or not enough" were often learned in childhood. Many clients find relief from cognitive behavioral therapy which helps them examine and change negative behaviors, thoughts and emotions which lead to anxiety and depression and a host of other mental health problems. Clients also benefit from EMDR, an evidence based psychotherapy which has proven to be effective in helping those struggling with distressing negative memories and PTSD.

I work from an integrated Biblical theoretical approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, emotional focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and Biblical principles. The amount of sessions are all based on the couples or individuals and their goals, but typically I incorporate a brief therapy approach of 6 to 8 sessions. Appointments are during the evenings and select Saturdays, all by appointment only. I work with couples (pre-engagement, pre-marital, marriage, and divorce recovery), individuals, and families.
