In life, we go through experiences that are very hard to talk about. We may not fully understand what happened to us or how to deal with it, or even express it. Therapy is a place to sort it out. It’s a space to increase understanding and grow skills and strength. It’s also an opportunity to make a connection to another human being and, through it, begin healing from the wounds that life has given us. I would like to be here for you on this inner journey and support you as you recover. I have dedicated my life to my own journey and helping others as well over the past 16 years. I encourage you to reach out and unburden yourself by sharing your story with someone who understands.

Psychotherapy will help you understand yourself and your behaviour. By talking to a trained therapist you will gain insight into yourself and awareness of why you do what you do, and ways to change it. Psychotherapy looks at what you think, believe, and feel, and how that affects the way you live your life. By changing how you think, you can change how you believe, and change how you feel.

As opposed to many of the behaviourally-based (simple fix) treatments available today, psychotherapy involves going deeper. This might include looking at coping skills or patterns you developed as a child which, though they served you well then, may be getting in the way of your life now. Psychotherapy is less about learning tools, and more about developing insights about oneself and one's loved ones. While many therapies today focus on changing behaviour in the here and now, psychotherapy often involves looking at what may underlie emotional or relational patterns, such as having difficulty saying no, or struggling to trust others. It involves being more honest and authentic with oneself.

About Oshawa, ON

With the automobile industry comes the union.  In 1937, Oshawa’s General Motors Canada experienced a strike, involving 4,000 of their assembly line workers, with the management leading the strike.  The event is known in Canadian history as trade unionism.  During times of economic turmoil and change, meeting with a counsellor Oshawa, ON leads individuals to find ways to find stability and hope.  This came after the weight of the depression was slowly lifting from the area.  The demand for automobiles was growing, which is why the workers were asking for a larger raise.  They were also asking to only work an eight-hour day, have better working conditions, and for the company to recognize their union, which was the United Auto Workers union.  Unfortunately, the government, which during the elections touted themselves as the working man’s friend, sided with the company and brought in armed university students to help break up the strike.  There was no violence and the workers had the backing of the general population along with other unions who stood by their sides.  The company gave the striking workers most of what they were asking for.

After WWII, the city annexed a portion of the East Whitby Township, which had been developed during the 1920s but not necessarily within the city’s boundaries.  It was during this time that Highway 401 was established which resulted in another growth spurt in the city.  The annexed portion of the city was developed into subdivisions, becoming a bedroom community in Oshawa and for Toronto.  If you are struggling with uncertainty in your life or family, consider the professional services of a Christian counsellor Oshawa, ON.  While a lot of the different manufacturing sites had closed in Oshawa, General Motors Canada remained a major manufacturing site in the city.  The opening of the Oshawa Shopping Centre in 1956 resulted in the decline of the city’s downtown area.  The city has tried to revitalize the area, by attracting new businesses and other projects.  However, the city opened up the General Motors Center with the anticipation that the downtown area will spark revitalization.  Most of the growth in the area has occurred in the outer areas of the city.

Oshawa is located in Ontario, Canada. It has a land area of 145.64 square kilometers.  The population of Oshawa is 159,458 people with 62,595 households .
