The Fargo VA Health Center provides support services to veterans of the armed forces and their families. Fargo Public Schools is dedicated to providing the necessary services to facilitate a positive learning environment for all students. Their Special Education programs support improved academic, social, and emotional performance for students who have a mental, physical, emotional, or learning disability. Services are provided for children between the ages of three and 21. Children of similar academic prowess are grouped together and placed with a teacher who can deliver more rigorous instruction. Children enjoy accelerated learning programs as well as extended learning experiences that allow them to explore beyond the bounds of the regular curriculum. Students are also able to undertake independent study so they can learn about topics that are of interest to them without direct instruction from their teacher. The gifted program seeks to meet each child's needs, including those in the behavioral and social realms.5
