The Charleston County Mental Health Court was designed as a diversion program so mentally ill persons that have committed a non-violent crime gets the treatment they need. Participants in the program attend individual and group sessions each week, in which they gain insights into their behavior, learn effective coping strategies, and identify skills for overcoming obstacles in their lives. The Lowcountry Christian Home Educators Association is dedicating to providing resources and support to parents that choose to educate their children in the home. The organization holds many parent activities, so moms and dads can collaborate together on development of curriculum, ask one another questions, and offer insight into improving instructional delivery.
