Core spiritual therapy entails learning to go within and communicate with the inner child. There are several parts to the inner child which are largely submerged in the unconscious. As adults we have gotten out of touch with the feelings and memories attendant with this special child part which carries the potential for healing and deep spirituality.

Once you become aware of the issues behind your avoidance behavior or defensive mechanisms, like denial, obsession (e.g., isolating a thought), or displacing your anger onto another person or situation, you will be able to change your responses and gradually, anxiety will not be a problem.

The object of grief and loss counseling is to discover the deeper meaning of the loss you have experienced. A loss, to be devastating and challenging, does not have to be grief over a loved one who has died. One may be overcome with grief from many circumstances. There are many types of loss.
