Camille Cosby has declared that her husband, Bill, is a kind and good man She dismisses accusations that he is, in fact, a serial rapist.
According to recent count, 47 women, dating all the way back to 1969, claim the comedian maneuvered them into situations that resulted in non-consensual sex. Mr. Cosby, himself, has admitted, in depositions that were opened by court order, that he has, without permission, used quaaludes, which are sedatives and hypnotics, to ensure the success of his seductions.

Women in the workforce has been a hot topic in the past year. What about a woman in a male only field? The National Football League (NFL) recently hired it’s first ever female coach. The Arizona Cardinals recently hired Jen Welter to act as a linebacker intern coach. While Welter is entering an entirely male dominated field, she has no shortage of qualifications for the job. Welter holds a masters in sports psychology, in addition to a PhD in psychology. She also has played internationally as a professional women’s football player. Welter’s hiring brings to light the changing dynamics of many job fields in hiring women, as well as the future of these fields as many groups lobby for equal pay and opportunity for women in traditionally male dominated fields.

A group of hackers has threatened to post the personal information of its 37 million users if the Canadian site isn’t closed down. As of July 22 the first names of its customers have been released.
This news story once again ignites the age-old question: Why do folks cheat on their spouses?

The amount and intensity of the public response to photos of a young not-very famous woman and her decision to post photos of herself with and without make-up is very interesting. It highlights a well-known fact; people write things on social media they would be unlikely to say directly to someone they know. Family Systems Theory provides a particular framework for understanding such harsh rhetoric directed at strangers and/or posted anonymously.

According to the National Kidney Foundation, it is estimated that about 12 people die each day while waiting for a kidney transplant. In 2014 alone, about 4,270 patients died while waiting. The average wait time for a patient to receive a transplant is approximately 3.6 years which may vary depending on a number of variables such as health,compatibility, and availability of organs.These statistics are both alarming and discouraging for the patients as well as their families who are desperately praying for a miracle to happen every day. Perhaps their prayers have been heard and are finally being answered by the inception of the National Kidney Registry’s paired exchange program.
