You are unique, and you are the expert on your life. Working from this view allows me to work in collaboration with you non-judgmentally and respectfully, helping you to come up with a solution that works. I will provide you with the support and feedback you need to complete your journey towards healing. My background and training allow me to combine different treatment methods. What works for one may not be best for you, so I strive to learn from your experience, personality, and preference as we create a plan to help find growth and healing.
I specialize in helping clients work through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma, parenting, and other challenges to living optimally. I have experience with individuals, couples, and families.
I am trained in trauma-informed care, using techniques that often result in immediate reduction of symptoms. I frequently incorporate EMDR techniques to target the memories and experiences that hold you back from being happy and healthy. This gives you the opportunity to experience less anxiety and depression without spending multiple sessions trying to gain insight. You will learn how to improve relationships, create emotional breakthroughs, and overcome obstacles right from the start. I also have specialized training in working with survivors of child abuse.
When working with children, I incorporate play therapy techniques. The sandtray therapy I offer is a favorite with young children and teens alike. I help children cope with their own trauma, anxiety, depression, fears, and concerns. I also help with parent concerns like academic performance, family strife, and lack of motivation. I regularly work with children ages 9 and up.
For couples and families, I work from an emotionally-focused perspective. I strive to help you identify and communicate your emotional needs so that you can peacefully navigate the stress that are inevitable in any relationship. I love helping couples to reconnect and find hope again.

Arizona has been my home since I was 12 years old. I love the culture, the weather, and the people. There is nowhere I would rather be! I have been married for 17 years and have four children. My favorite volunteer activity has been teaching high school students. In my spare time, I love to go swimming with my kids or attend their basketball, soccer, volleyball, or baseball games. If I have alone time, I can usually be found with my nose in a book.
