As a therapist who has worked in the mental health field all of my adult life, I believe that I have a wealth of experience, be it professional and academic, as well as personal in my roles as wife, mother, and grandmother. However, credentials are important too.
My MA degree in Rehabilitative Counseling was received from the
with a BA in Psychology.
I’ve been certified as a Rehabilitative Counselor, Applied Behavioral Analyst, Domestic Violence Assessor & Group Facilitator, and Master Addictions Counselor. I also hold the designation of National Board Certified Counselor.
I’ve taught Psychology, Intro to Counseling, Intro to Human Services and other coursework at two community colleges.
Life Counseling, an organization that has been in continuous operation in the Ft.Myers area, is where I have practiced for more than 15 years.
More importantly, I’ve been married for more than 35 years; have two grown children, one granddaughter, and another on the way! That’s the thing isn’t it: life with its constant change necessitates continual transition and adjustment. It’s when one of these experiences becomes unusually difficult and stressful that counseling can offer relief.
I look forward to talking with you soon.
