My name is Stephanie Sullivan and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing psychotherapy in Charleston, SC. I provide therapy to teenagers and adults in a compassionate, patient, caring, and non-judgmental atmosphere where client are free to express themselves, their thoughts, and their feelings. I help clients work on achieving their specified goals and help to promote self-awareness in my clients. The counseling relationship between myself and my clients is a collaborative effort and I strive to provide a safe atmosphere for each client. Each client is different and each client has a different story to tell; therefore, my approach, insight, and communication style will vary with each client - I do not adhere to the one-size-fits-all model because each individual is unique. I work with my clients to help determine how to best help them achieve their goals and function autonomously in their life.

I am also a Certified Health Coach and I greatly enjoy providing education and discussing nutrition and helping my clients feel their best with food and lifestyle changes. I provide mentorship and coaching through this transitional lifestyle phase, while supporting and encouraging my clients. I work with my clients to find an individualized wellness plan that best fits their lifestyle and the changes they desire to make. I help challenge my clients to find their inner wisdom and live the life they desire according to their own values.

My Background
I received my Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia Southern University in 2011 and I received my Certification in Health Coaching from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2014. I am currently working on completing my Masters of Addiction. I have worked extensively with those who suffer from the disease of addiction and their families in inpatient, outpatient, and residential settings. In addition to my private practice, I work in a college counseling center providing therapy to students and I provide clinical supervision to interns and practicum students from local graduate schools.
