Located in Los Angeles County, Lancaster is the eighth largest city in the area with around 440,000 people living in and around the area.  The city was incorporated in 1977 and is separated from the Los Angeles area by the San Gabriel Mountain Range in the south, and separated from Bakersfield to the north by the Tehachapi Mountain Range.  The city got its start in the late 19th century by a land developer named M.L. Wicks, who purchased land from the Southern Pacific Railroad.  Prior to the development, the city was nothing more than a whistle-stop on the railroad line between Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Lancaster had a hotel and a few homes prior to the 1890’s. Then the city experienced an economic boom and more people moved into the area when gold and borax was discovered in the mountains surrounding the city.

Lancaster was also known as a flight test area for the Air Force during the 1930s at Muroc Air Field.  The air field is now the fully functioning Edwards Air Force Base.  The aerospace industry, such as Boeing, Lockheed and Northrup also established flight test plants on the air base commonly known as U.S. Air Force Plant 42.  This also helped the area to grow, which those people that moved out to Lancaster were referred to as “escapees” from Los Angeles. However, when the need for seclusion overpowers the need for human interaction, Christian counseling Lancaster CA, psychotherapy will explore any spiritual altercations to find resolutions. A therapist Lancaster CA can determine the correct steps towards a suitable, strengthening outcome. The aerospace industry definitely made a large impact on the growth in Lancaster, with the city becoming a large suburban city of Los Angeles by 1990.  Lancaster is now the world’s largest city with that name.  This is primarily due to the fact that the land prices are lower with very business-friendly policies, which attracts many different types of businesses and industries to do business in Lancaster.

Lancaster is located in Los Angeles County, California. It has a land area of 94.29 square miles and a water area of 0.26 square miles.  The population of Lancaster is 161,103 people with 47,427 households and a median annual income of $47,225. .
