Do you know Individuals whose anxiety is affecting their daily lives? Through emotion-focused work, I help people discover what is behind their anxiety and as a result, become better versions of themselves.
I received my Master of Science in Counseling and Human Relations in 2011. I received my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in 2015. I have always wanted to help others for as long as I can remember. I can not imagine doing anything else.
I am a psychotherapist who specializes in the treatment of:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Addiction & Recovery
  • Relationships

During the course of my studies, I became particularly interested in those suffering from anxiety.
In addition, I work regularly with clients dealing with:
  • Life Transition
  • Divorce
  • Eating Disorders
  • Self-Improvement or Growth

I believe the relationship between Counselor and Client must be one where they work together to create goals. We will face and turn against defense mechanisms, discover what is causing anxiety, and feel previously avoided feelings. Through this alliance between therapist and client, I believe in a person's ability to rise again no matter how life has hurt them. If you are a person who is ready to make a lasting change, I am the kind of Counselor who will keep you working so that you reach the goals you want.

This is a friendly, caring environment in which people can feel safe to explore and express their emotions. I will take a look at the specific problem my client is facing and together we will find out what feeling he/she is avoiding because of anxiety. Counselor and Client will also discover what defenses are causing suffering. The client can redirect his/her feelings into energy to change. Afterwards, clients are better able to connect to others in relationships.

I have come to understand the relationship between body, mind, and feeling. I want to help my clients experience this, to be aware of the benefits of emotional health. The work I do with my clients is emotionally focused, short term (8-20 sessions) structured psychotherapy.

My vision is to give each individual a set of skills that they can use long after therapy is over. I believe in acceptance and being mindfully in the present; working towards decreasing anxiety and depression. The concept of feeling our feelings all the way through is achievable and necessary in the movement toward emotional health.
Working With Me:

Some notes on the logistics of working with me:
Sessions last 45 minutes, though I sometimes book longer sessions if the need arises.
The cost per session is $100.
I have a flexible schedule and I do see some clients in the evenings.
I accept the cash and personal check as forms of payment.
I know many people are interested in using their insurance to pay for therapy. My normal policy is to provide you with a detailed invoice, which you can then submit to your insurance company.
