My counseling values are based on Christian principles. The level at which this comes into a counseling relationship is up to the individual or family and how important it is to them to the process. This is often crucial in looking at an individual or family's support level and their connection to their faith community. I worked in a Christian Counseling Center from 2007-2011 and feel comfortable relating to families who are looking for faith-based counseling.

Traditional therapy services often avoid specifically addressing the spiritual needs of their clients. At Chrysalis Connections, we understand that people are inherently relational and have a fundamental need to connect with all aspects of their sense of Self including their spiritual Self. That is why we make spiritually integrated psychotherapy a foundational aspect of our counseling services. Helping you connect with the God of your understanding isn't just a sideline. It is one of our primary objectives. We provide Christian pre-marital, couple, family, and individual counseling for clients who desire a Biblically-based approach to therapy.

I am trained to integrate Christian counseling into sessions for those who want it. It is part of our assessment, and for Christian clients, a very significant part of who they are. Your Christian values and faith will be held in the highest regard and will be respected and honored. I will support you in every way I can to maximize your commitment to your belief system and encourage your walk with God. Or if you have doubts and want to explore them, I work to create a safe place to ask questions and express frustrations. Either way, you will feel that you have made progress in finding answers or, at least, understand more fully what your questions are.

When we look for guidance to help us through those difficult times in life, we want to talk to someone who not only shares an understanding of how important this is to us, but will also guide us on a path that is in line with our beliefs.
