Depression is as prominent and disabling a behavioral health issue as there is. Not only does it adversely effect one's personal, but also social functioning. Effective treatments include changing as much then biochemistry, thoughts and actions, to the end goal of rediscovering the optimism and joy in life that has long been lost and/or forgotten.
David E. Frederick, PhD, NCTC-1
1218 5th Ave. – Suite 14, Huntington, West Virginia 25701
Dr. Frederick has a special interest in working with clients on antidepressant medication who find little to no benefit from the medication. He works closely with the client to discern the deep hurts and deep pain causing depression. Often, in such cases, the hurts and pains are shoved out of awareness under a layer of intense anger. Both in-office and homework exercises are used to resolve feelings of depression.
