For eating disorders, my view is that there can be different causes that fuel the problem. Is it a chemical imbalance? Is it a family problem? What's underneath the problem? Is there a deeper issue that needs to be uncovered that can create change? Who else is being affected by the disorder? How has this symptom affected the larger system? I can't say I have one technique or strategy because I believe there is more within the story that needs to be heard in order for change to occur.
