A loss is guaranteed in each person's life, hence, every individual will succumb to grief at some point of their life. Each individual grieve in their own way. Based on my clinical and personal experience, the depth of the grieving often center around the emotional attachment to the item or individual lost. Grief should not be timed, however, each year the pain of the loss lessons but never completely dissipate. Grief and loss can be about death of a loved one. Grieving offers us a challenge and an opportunity. It is a process of letting go of who and what was lost as we integrate that person and our memories into our present lives.
