We face many challenges throughout our lives. These challenges can either positively or negatively impact how we navigate our life journey. Either way, the challenges that we face can influence our emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. My approach to counseling is to provide clients with the necessary insights and skills to achieve their desired goals. I believe that it is important to come alongside clients on the journey to healing and self-awareness so that they can better navigate the challenges of life.
I recognize that it may be a difficult decision to seek therapeutic counseling. However, I believe that it may be one of the best decisions that you ever make. I look forward to hearing more about your journey and working with you as you navigate into the future.
Skills and Treatment Methods:
I work with a variety of clients including adolescents (14 and over) and adults. I am qualified to treat clients with a variety of presenting problems including but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief/loss, life transitions, relationship problems, divorce, and adult aging.
All treatment methods are determined based upon the client’s presenting concerns and what will work best achieve their goals.
Education and Experience:
I attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University where I received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Management with a focus on Human Resources. Several years later, I received an additional Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Licensed Associate Counselor in the State of Arizona and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Ohio.
I was born and raised in Central Ohio and moved to Arizona in June of 2014. I have one adult daughter and two dogs. I moved to Arizona to be closer to my daughter, and to enjoy the daily sunshine and warmer temperatures. Living without ice and snow is a great benefit of living in Arizona!
Counseling is my second career as I worked in the healthcare industry for 14 years in Human Resources. Once my daughter left the nest, I had time to really think about what I wanted for my future. I have truly found my passion of coming alongside others within the therapeutic process of counseling. I have been blessed by working with each of my clients and look forward to those I have not yet met.
I offer both evening and weekend office hours.
