Counseling can be deeply personal and private work that delves into one's psyche and history for answers and solutions, or, a series of discussions about current problems that leads to solutions. I am available for both at my client's discretion.

Residents in this city are excited about their schools. Families who live here are able to choose from several different types of school when placing their children in education. With 10 elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools, kids' education is taken care of, whether they're in kindergarten or a teenager in high school. In Royal Oak, students consistently score well in the Michigan Educational Assessment Program and teenagers in high school score above state and national averages on the ACT pre-college exam. Add to all this the many parochial schools available to students, such as Royal Oak St. Dennis and Shrine of the Little Flower, and Royal Oak has good reason to be excited about their schools. With fewer than 90,000 people, this isn't a huge city, but it doesn't let that fact slow it down when it comes to doing good things, like selling bricks for paving the walkway in front of the Salter Community Center, rather than asking people to pay higher taxes, people are taking pride in their city one step at a time. Individuals or families can purchase a brick and have their names put on it. Arranging community gardens for people who live in apartments is another way residents work together for the bigger good.1

Current Education

Royal Oaks Schools have implemented a positive behavior and intervention support program that builds a positive learning environment through encouraging respect and kindness.
