I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arizona. I am also a Certified Trauma Professional and member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I hold a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Christian Counseling from Phoenix Seminary, as well as being certified as a trainer and professional provider for Mending the Soul curriculum.
In addition to my practice at North Pointe Counseling Center, I provide group therapy at Calvary Addiction Recovery Center, a treatment facility for chemical dependency and problem gambling. I have many years of experience in church ministry and familiar with the unique circumstances that face church leaders.
My approach is spiritually integrated and my specialty areas are Anxiety/Panic Disorders, Post-traumatic Stress/PTSD, Addiction - chemical dependency, sexual addiction, gambling, Compassion Fatigue, Relational Problems, Grieving and loss, Marriage and couples counseling, Recovery from abuse and neglect.
Clients say my work helps them feel understood and safe. My scope of practice includes couples counseling, family relationships, and individuals. I am a trained facilitator for professionally led Mending the Soul small groups: a biblically based, research informed model for renewing hope to those impacted by abuse, trauma and deprivation.
The satisfaction of my work arises from the privilege I have in sitting with our clients and being a witness to their growth and progress.
