How I Can Help You:

As a holistic psychotherapist and certified life coach with over 20 years of experience, I integrate a broad knowledge base with a unique, highly intuitive style that is individually-tailored to best meet the needs of each client. My personal and profession passion is to assist clients to connect with their own inner wisdom and innate strengths. It is my belief that this is the true pathway to healing. I enjoy working with clients who are open to this process. My approach is client-centered, empowering, non-judgmental, and compassionate.

I work with individuals and couples dealing with a broad range of issues. I have helped clients with:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • career transition
  • major life transitions
  • relationships issues
  • marriage counseling
  • infidelity recovery
  • self-esteem
  • grief and loss
  • codependency
  • addiction
  • life coaching
  • spiritual issues

In 2015, I was chosen as one of the top 3 marriage counselors in Providence, RI, by This is based on client reviews, satisfaction and overall excellence. (I have recently relocated to Denver, CO.)
“Working with Nancy Harris was positively life changing. She shares the most powerful tools available to reach all goals, small and large. With her help, I found the confidence to make the career change of my dreams, leading to an abundant increase in health, happiness and overall well-being. I am forever grateful.”  N.K-W, Live Foods Chef

Benefits of Working with Me:

My approach is to help you maximize your talents, gifts and strengths and not to over-focus on weaknesses or wounds so that you can ultimately live your best life possible.

I have helped hundreds of women and men heal from past wounds, transform their pain, experience more joy, create better relationships, find more meaningful careers and live more authentic, passion-filled lives. It can take work, but it is possible.

After 20 years of experience as a licensed therapist and certified coach with impeccable training, I have some of the most effective and powerful tools to help you achieve your goals.

About Me:

I am a licensed psychotherapist and a certified life coach. I am also certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. I have found that having the skills of both a psychotherapist and a life coach gives me a unique perspective to help clients heal from the past while also moving toward a more fulfilling future.

My early training as a therapist was traditional, psychodynamically-oriented psychotherapy. Over the years, I have incorporated numerous skills and trainings into my work with clients and currently integrate my traditional foundation with a more transpersonal, psycho-spiritual approach.

I utilize concepts from mindfulness, positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, the work of Byron Katie, life coaching, Harville Hendrix' Imago Couples Therapy, and family systems therapy.

Rather than focusing on weaknesses or pathology, my approach is to help clients maximize their individual talents, gifts and strengths.

My Training:

I am a graduate of Bowdoin College, The University of Michigan School of Social Work, The Transpersonal Hypnotherapy Institute in Boulder, CO, and The Academy for Coach Training in Seattle, WA. In November 2012, I completed an 8-month Life Coach training program with Martha Beck, PhD. Martha Beck has been called the "best known life coach in America" by Psychology Today and has been referred to by Oprah Winfrey as, "one of the smartest women I know".

I am also a certified Divine Living Coach with particular interest in women's empowerment, entrepreneurial endeavors, creativity and success.

While I am able to work with most types of issues and clients at this point, I tend to attract and enjoy creative types, healers, coaches, therapists, solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, visionaries, and highly sensitive, intuitive women and men.

I am also very skilled at working with couples whether straight or gay, married or unmarried. I have a particular interest in helping couples recover from betrayal and infidelity.
"We got more out of one 2-hour session with you than we did 4 months with our previous therapist." Quote from a couple recovering from infidelity.

My focus in general in working with either individuals or couples is to help you move beyond simply solving problems and to help you move into a life and/or relationship in which you are truly thriving, maximizing your full potential and living your best life possible.

“I think that there is something very special about Nancy. I have worked with other therapists in the past, some with spiritual leanings and others with a more traditional Western approach. Nancy is able to draw the best from both worlds and intertwine them in a way that is both relevant and accessible. She is a deeply caring person and was committed to helping me rediscover my true self, which had been obscured by false beliefs and repetitive, self- destructive thought patterns. With Nancy’s help, I learned to understand why these negative patterns kept replaying themselves over and over, how they had developed and become so strong, and ultimately how to work with them in a skillful manner. I am forever grateful to Nancy for enabling me to finally step out of my circle of negative emotions and patterns, and into a life of new opportunity and discovery.”                    H.T., Graduate Student, Naropa University
