A revolution is underway, and Rhonda is very excited to be a part of it! Multiple research studies show that using a process called Feedback Improved Therapy (FIT) increases the effectiveness of psychotherapy by 120% to 378% i. It also reduces the chance of deterioration by 1/3. The approach is simple. Essentially, feedback improves performance. Whether in sports, psychotherapy, or any other skill, if you receive objective feedback on your performance, it automatically improves. Every serious athlete has a coach who videotapes her, and gives objective feedback on reaching her left arm farther forward, tilting her head up, etc. This frequent feedback brings the athlete to a level of world-class expertise.
Rhonda is now using the same process of getting objective feedback. It consists of her clients taking a brief measure of psychological distress in each session. She also measures the alliance, or sense of teamwork between the client and herself. Rhonda tracks what change is happening, and will discuss if something needs to be fine-tuned in the therapy sessions.
The simple process of getting feedback improves therapy dramatically. Rhonda finds it exciting to see clients improve even more rapidly. Another new benefit for her clients is that they can access for free, the largest internet portal on mental health. There are over 140 articles, 27 assessments, secure online journaling, videos, and other resources. This enhances your learning about how to improve hour mental and physical health. You can also give Rhonda permission to read your online journal before sessions, so that she has a better idea of how your week has gone. This speeds up therapy as well. Rhonda is fully confident that the extra resources and sharp increase in effectiveness will speed your healing, saving you money overall.
Rhonda brings her unique life experience to her work as a professional counsellor in relevant and dynamic ways. She has been happily married forĀ 20 years and has successfully co-parented two teenage children. Rhonda looks forward to the privilege of working with you to define and achieve your goals.
