Rochelle graduated from Friends University with a BA in Human Services/Psychology. After graduation she became a stay-at-home mother for many years, a role that she still cherishes and believes shaped and formed her in profound ways. She also taught piano lessons for students of all ages for over fifteen years. In 2005, she became a licensed general lines insurance agent in the state of Texas and worked in insurance sales in her home office. When her first child left home to attend college, Rochelle decided to apply to the University of Houston Clear Lake (UHCL) where she later obtained an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. In 2009-2010, she worked as an intern at the Family Enrichment Clinic, an organization that is greatly impacting diverse populations located in the Houston area. In 2011-2012, she had the wonderful opportunity to work for Video Perspective as the Coordinating Producer for the Giving Library, a project designed to unite donors and non-profit organizations. Then, in 2012, Rochelle completed her coursework at UHCL, passed the national Marriage and Family Therapy exam and opened the doors of Friendswood Family Counseling.
