Life circumstances can often become overwhelming and feel unmanageable. Whether it be stress related to your child's emotional well-being or behavior, family communication or interactions, other relationship issues, or other personal struggles, you and those important to you deserve happiness.  Although life can sometimes get in the way of making ourselves our number one priority - it is time! With over 24 years experience working with children, adolescents, and adults I have joined many in assisting them on their path back to hope, happiness, and personal fulfillment - I look forward to the opportunity to join you on your path.
I hold dual masters degrees in Clinical Psychology and Social Work.  I received a masters degree  in 1988 from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.   While in Florida I provided clinical services to children, adolescents and adults with the Nova University Community Mental Health Center in Coral Springs.  I relocated back to Long Island, where I was born and raised, in 1991.  At that time I pursued a Masters in Social Work at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.  I received this degree in 1994.

Over the last twenty one years on Long Island I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through the Town of Huntington, The Town of Islip Youth and Family Counseling Program, and as an Associate Psychotherapist with The Life Balance Center; a private group psychotherapy practice in Dix Hills.  In October 2012 I established an individual psychotherapy practice in Center Moriches.  Remaining, local to this area, I recently relocated to my current office at 250 Montauk Highway in East Moriches.  During the past 20 years I held the position of Division Director of Children & Family Community Based and Residential Services with the Pederson Krag Center; a large not=for-profit mental health agency serving residents throughout Suffolk County.  In January of 2016 I transitioned to working with adolescents in the Eastern Suffolk BOCES educational system.
I am passionate in assisting children, adolescents and adults in revealing their true potentials, to rise above challenges, conflicts and negative life circumstances to find true happiness, peace and harmony in their lives.  I believe in and embrace every person's unique individuality, incredible inner strengths, and desire for personal growth, development and strength. I have been fortunate in having had so many people share their personal stories and personal journeys with me. I have been graced with helping them to manage their feelings and emotions, change their perspectives, their thought processes, their behavioral patterns, their communication and relationship styles, their coping strategies, and their personal experiences. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to find your personal success!
