Anger is a natural emotion everyone experiences. Anger can even have purpose: to bring us to action during injustice or even to protect others from harm. If however, anger escalates and hurts others emotionally or physically therapy is needed. I have heard clients say, "it's in my genes", or "so and so makes me so mad...". Perhaps, but truth is, there is never a good reason to let anger take control our lives. Relationships suffer, and often we hurt the people we love. My approach to therapy is to help you find balance. We will look at what your triggers , where, when anger is most present, how it affects you physically. Together, we find the tools you need to find a healthier way.

I will help you adopt a more composed style, one where you can communicate your thoughts without becoming confrontational. Together we will look at where the anger is truly coming from. We will look at past family patterns that may have handed this down to you. We will look at your current situation and see perhaps who you are really angry at. Sometimes it is not who or what you think. We will work on tactics to release your angry in a healthy manner and see what is under the anger.
