I work primarily from a strengths based perspective. Instead of looking focusing on the problems or "illness" that people have, I work to increase their coping and build on their strengths. I believe that anyone can get better if they want to. Most of the time clients are stronger than they think that they are - they only need strategies, tools, and encouragement to achieve their goals. I have worked successfully with people who struggle with a variety of concerns from dating to heroin addictions, eating disorders to career concerns. By working to connect the dots from past patters to future goals, we are able to see tangible results over time.
