The Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County, Inc. is a nonprofit that seeks to promote understanding of mental health issues in order to decrease the stigmas that are associated with them. They work with community partners, as well as services and providers to coordinate systems throughout the community. These issues can be debilitating, and you should not go through it alone. The Parent-Child Center is an organization that serves children and families who are within Palm Beach County. They are a part of the Community Partnership, as well as the Housing Partnership, Inc. This nonprofit focuses on the child within the scope of the family, supporting the unit as a whole to foster emotional and physical wellbeing. They promote positive coping skills for the mental health of each individual and the family, as a whole. They are located at 2001 Blue Heron Road in Riviera Beach, though they serve the whole county, including West Palm Beach. You can reach them at 1-800-955-8770.3

Current Initiatives

Operation Hope is a social service and welfare nonprofit organization. Specifically, they assist homeless individuals with their needs, including financial, physical and emotional support. The homeless population often experience many mental health problems that either put them in the situation they are in, or are related to their stress from becoming homeless. Contact Operation Hope at 561-396-7969. It is located at 300 10th Street in Lake Park.4

Seagull Services is a nonprofit that has been designed to assist individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. They offer residential services, vocational training to help individuals reach their full potential in the work force, and a Summer Camp program, among other things.
