Some seek therapy to address a specific issue related to trauma, loss, grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression or relationship concerns. Therapy can provide the support and enhanced coping necessary during times of stress, change, conflict or overwhelming emotions.
Diane offers a gentle, calm presence in creating a safe place to address challenges, emotions, relationship issues or other factors that may have precipitated you to seek therapy. This process involves identifiying strengths and resources each person brings, perhaps managing overwhelming emotions, enhanced coping as well as developing steps towards reaching the goals you have set out in therapy.
Diane graduated with her MSW in 1998 and Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy in 2010. She has been in the field for 20+ years.
Her approach to therapy is grounded in narrative, attachment, emotion focused as well as being trauma informed. She has worked in the area of abuse and complex trauma, disability-special needs, couple and family therapy. A play therpay approach is utilized with children as this provides a way to work through difficult issues that children may not be able to verbalize. She respects diversity;
