Current Initiatives

To address the mental and physical healthcare needs of Tarrant County's homeless children, Cook Children's Health Care System began the Homeless Initiative. As part of the initiative, the agency transports low-income children to area health clinics in order to receive care. Case management services are also offered in order to minimize the negative effects homelessness has on mental health.
