Rosa Maria is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Francisco Gavidia University, El Salvador, and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Winnipeg, Canada. She integrates her knowledge and expertise in both areas when working with couples and families.
Rosa Maria's therapeutic approach is centered on you, the client. She integrates the most current evidence based research and systemic theory to provide you with the opportunity to identify past or present issues that hold you back in “surviving mode” or “chronic distress” type of emotional patterns. She will help you explore better and more satisfying alternatives, so that you can find meaning and purpose that is congruent with the best that you really want for your life.
Rosa Maria, immigrated to Canada in 1992. She came with her husband and her children now adults. As a woman, wife, mother and immigrant she knows first hand the meaning of life and family transitions and the hardships of challenging times.
