Hi and welcome!  Life can be extremely challenging and overwhelming on it own or if coupled with anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, relationship issues or other issues it can be unmanagable.  We will work together in a compassionate, empowering, supportive environment to address those overwhelming feelings and/or other issues. I will utilize my training and experience to empower you to learn ways to cope with what is challenging you or your family and work towards experiencing life through a more positive lens.
As a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) for over 10 years I have had the opportunity to practice in a few different settings with many children, adolescents, families and adults helping them to make positive changes in their lives.
I take a solution-focused and eclectic approach to my work while listening, providing insight, support and feedback about life's challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger issues, trauma, loss, adoption, ADHD, parenting, family communication issues and relationship issues.  The approach that you and I decide is best is individualized to you and/or your family.  It will include supportive, insight-oriented psychotherapy, solution-focused techniques, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), mindfulness, family systems and trauma-informed treatment approaches as well as others.
We will work together to reduce symptoms and empower you/your family to move forward.  Together we will work to make positive changes and choices in your life so that you can lift the burden of any symptoms  and/or that overwhelmed feeling that you are experiencing and pave a path that is easier to navigate.
After graduating Boston College with a Masters in Social Work I have completed training with Salvador Minuchin and the Trauma Center at JRI as well as training in Solution-Focosed Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Therapies.  It is with this training, using evidence-based treatment modalities and interventions and my years of work with children, adults and families that we will craft larger goals and smaller objectives to work towards to increase your/your families ability to successfully navigate life.
At our first appointment we will talk about the issues that brought you in and about your goals for treatment and make a plan that is right for you.  After the initial appointment we will meet weekly or biweekly to attain these goals and improve your overall wellbeing.  Life is very challenging and busy without anxiety, depression, anger, loss or other issues, but when you couple a busy life with these issues it can easily become overwhelming and difficult to navigate.  By empowering you to overcome these and other issues will help you and family succeed in this busy world.
Thank you for taking the time to read my bio.  I look forward to meeting and working with you.
