Youth Care Treatment Center, located in Draper, Utah, has decades of experience helping teens in crisis to stabilize, grow, and flourish after treatment. At the core of our treatment model is our academically focused residential treatment center. This program focuses on helping adolescents ages 11-17 who have attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, addictions, and other behavioral health concerns. Through our unique level system, your child can learn to thrive in a highly structured environment that encourages growth and teaches healthy coping mechanisms. During treatment, students start at the Orientation Level, then work through the Awareness, Proficiency, and Mastery Levels. This system works to give your child tangible goals and active feedback about their progress in treatment, allowing them the space to flourish. Education is a key part of the Youth Care Treatment Center program, and selecting our facility means you don’t need to choose between your child’s health and their education. Our certified teachers can support gifted students, students who have learning difficulties, and students who have behavioral challenges. Because our behavior modification program is part of the schooling itself, teachers can spend more time on teaching and less time on disciplinary actions. Our teachers also receive support from a team of social workers, psychologists, and therapists who can provide help when concerns are outside the scope of the academic program. After residential care, our mental health treatment center offers extended treatment options to continue the healing process. Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) can allow your child to continue learning and engaging in a therapeutic academic environment after moving back home and transitioning back to regular life. Similarly, our day treatment program offers the option for teenagers ages 13-17 to participate in treatment without having to live on-site. It still offers a comprehensive spectrum of treatment methods, including group therapy, medical services, and individual therapy. In addition to mental health challenges, many adolescents struggle with substance use and addiction. Our specialized program for young people who are suffering from co-occurring addictions offers targeted services to help your child learn the foundations of lasting recovery while honoring their unique strengths and abilities.
