Why We Sweat the Small Stuff and Avoid What Matters
How stress is stopping you from becoming the person, partner, and parent you were created to be

When I was in graduate school at Fuller Seminary I had a mentor named George. George was well into his 70's when I met him, and with 50 years of a really great marriage under his belt, he was as wise and energetic as anyone I had ever met.

Well one day George said to me,
"I was in a men's group that used to met at Denny's. And I got so used to the coffee there, that if you blindfolded me in a random place, and put their coffee in front of me, I'd recognize it right away. I can spot their coffee because of its consistent mediocrity."

Well settling for consistently mediocre coffee is one thing
(though I don't recommend it),
but settling for consistent mediocrity in our relationships is far far worse. And one of the biggest reasons we end up settling is because we have adopted the routine of sweating the small stuff and avoiding what matters.

In this interactive workshop Stephan Gombis, MSMFT, LCPC and Dr. Daniel Zomerlei, DMFT we will be addressing:
1) how stress impacts our physical/emotional health,
2) how it impacts our relationship with God, and
3) how it impacts our relationships with our partners and kids
4) and what we can do to stop settling and start being proactive
