Ever feel like it’s never good enough? Do you procrastinate constantly, then feel like a total failure because you did not “do the thing”? Do you hold yourself to a higher standard than others? This is the negative side of perfectionism. Perfectionistic tendencies do not allow you to truly experience life. It can completely paralyze you. It is driven by fear and stops you from going after the career you want, taking up new hobbies or interests, or having the relationships you want.

You are constantly making sure that you appear the way that you think the people you are interacting with expect you to interact and appear, which in turn holds you back, and does not allow the other people in your space to be authentic either. Perfectionism comes with anxiety and depression. Remember that feeling of despair that ensues when you did not reach that unrealistic goal? Perfectionism robs you of your joy. Yet, another goal is set and the pattern continues. CBT dismantles these harmful patterns with evidence-based strategies that stop perfectionism in its tracks. CBT also teaches you how to make goals that are in line with what you truly want, and not goals driven by fear. This clinic will give you the tools required to unlock your authentic self.
