Counseling with young children is a combination of play, practice, nurturing, and problem solving. I work with the child to play out difficulties, practice healthy behaviors, encourage them, and problem solve the challenges. The parents are encouraged to be involved in every step of the process. Sometimes the solution is quick and change is immediate. Other times the solution is more hidden. I am diligent to resolve the distress quickly, as childhood is too precious to miss a moment.
