My passion is helping couples of all ages from the beginning of the relationship deal and heal from any issues that might be preventing peace and happiness. Working with couples is extremely specialized and should only be done with a trained clinician. Please ask the right questions to ensure you are in good hands with someone who knows how to guide you. The client is the relationship - not the individuals! So an individual therapist is not the way to go here. At KML, we have a trained PSYPACT psychologist who is licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), so she can work in any PSYPACT state. This work should focus on what the couple wants for their relationship (sometimes the goal is uncoupling kindly), guiding the couple in healthy growth of the relationship, and all without shame! Relationships are hard and we are here to help!

We are passionate about and skilled with helping couples to repair and strengthen their relationship by utilizing techniques from evidence-based practices such as Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method. These techniques help get to the heart of the matter to increase relationship satisfaction and heal emotional injuries that may have occurred throughout the relationship or as a result of previous trauma. Individual therapy for each partner is also recommended as best practice for helping each person to work through their personal traumas.

As a husband, and father of 7 children, I know firsthand not only the blessings, but also the challenges that come with family life. I enjoy working with couples, helping them improve communication, rebuild trust, and restore intimacy. I use an honest and supportive approach in session, and can provide Christian counseling for those that desire it.
