I utilize relational approach in working with clients with issues of depression. Client explore the meanings of depression in terms of physiological, psychological, or relationships connectivity. Clients examine steps that have worked in managing symptoms, or not worked. Through the process of therapy, clients become aware of skills to manage and optimize functioning; thereby reinforcing that depression is the problem and they are not the problem. As such, they explore and implement healthy life choices in controlling the symptoms with medication management, social engagements, exercising, relaxation, prioritizing, time management, and identify a safe person to help reflect arising needs.
