We deal with families in many different ways. When dealing with families with children we generally begin sessions with all family members present to get on the same pages and exhibit clear goals and objectives. We often counsel children and teenagers separately from their parents to give them the opportunity to open up and discuss or share things they might not otherwise. We try to bring the parents back into the situation in order to help them understand perspectives and issues they might have missed.
